DIY side table – love red!

I have learned to love red. It is my husband’s favourite colour…but not really mine. But I do admit, it has wonderful qualities I have realised. So when I design, I try and incorporate hints and accents of red, as it is a really strong colour.

I scored a bunch of pine off-cuts from my local carpentry a few months ago and as you might know, I have a fascination with building tables with puzzle pieces or blocks. As seen here. So I decided to make a cute side table.

I started off by taping down a square using masking tape.

Build within the masking tape square

Pack blocks tight like a puzzle
