I signed up for the Weekly Photo Challenge in 2011. Each week as WordPress Bloggers we are challenged to take a photo on a specific topic.
Although I love photography I am not at all a trained photographer. I carry my small, compact Sony Cybershot Camera with me wherever I go and take pictures of almost anything.. This is what you call a mik en druk kamera (literal afrikaans translation means: aim and press). I especially like to take pictures while in transit in the car.

My trusty camera
It was given to me by my hubby’s cousin, Yvette. She found it in the ladies room at a big rugby match at Soccer City in 2010 and decided to bless me with it. Unfortunately someone else’s loss became my gain. I started the blog shortly after that, so in a way I believe it was destined.
Some of the pics below were taken a few years ago with an earlier version of the Sony Cybershot camera which unfortunately broke.
When I grow up I’ll buy a proper camera with all the bells and whistles 🙂

Wow..thank you for the compliment. I haven’t had the means to buy a DSLR and have grown to love my compact digicam. I love capturing the everyday life with creative angles. I really enjoyed your article The False Creativity and totally relate and agree!
