Two sawhorses make a table

Sawhorse ~ {A framework for holding wood that is being sawed}

Trestles ~ {Sawhorses used in pairs to support a horizontal tabletop}

A few weeks ago I took on a project for a client who opened a dance studio.  The client required a few elements to make the space more inviting.  Too much on the purple side…or what do you think?

Space before

The client did most of the work of painting the space a bright white, which makes all the difference!

Bright and light!

One of my jobs was to source furniture.  We decided a trestle table would do nice as an interim reception desk.  Here is how I made it.

The client has said he will paint it white, and I haven’t seen the end product after delivering it.  But I’m pretty chuffed with the end result!

Inexpensive, simple, and trendy!  Here is another one I made last year.   Have you made a table before?

  1. Colline says:

    I like the purple – but then it is my favourite colour. Having said that, white always does make space look bigger.
